The eCampusOntario H5P Studio has officially crossed 75,000 interactive H5P resources, created and shared by more than 11,000 educators across over 55 Ontario Higher Education institutions.

As the largest and most active region-specific OER system in the country, H5P Studio is a shining example of how publicly funded infrastructure, open-source technology, and educator-driven collaboration can come together to support digital teaching and learning at scale.

What Is H5P Studio?

H5P Studio is a free, online authoring platform developed by eCampusOntario as part of its Open Publishing Suite. It provides a one-stop shop for educators to create, remix, and share rich, interactive content using H5P — including quizzes, flashcards, interactive videos, timelines, and more.

Educators can browse and adapt content from colleagues across the province or publish their own creations for others to use. Every object created in H5P Studio is fully accessible, hosted for reuse, and licensed for sharing — making it easy for institutions to collaborate across programs and disciplines.

Whether used for course delivery, asynchronous practice, or embedded in open textbooks, H5P Studio is helping educators across Ontario bring their content to life.
